“Sacha William Fertig was born in Zambia on 5 June 1974. He went to school in South Africa for a few years and lived here with us for three.
A sweet, humble and caring young man, his heart remained in Zambia.
He spoke Bemba, the local Zambian language, fluently and longed to return to his home, our farm in Zambia.
Less than a year after returning to Zambia, he died tragically at only 22 years old on 4 October 1996 after a major car accident. His ashes were spread over the rocks at the bronze leopard in Hou Bay. He loved Hout Bay. We have respectfully named this new luxury residential development to honour his memory.” – Sacha Developer, Ricky Fertig.
